It's big, but it doesn't feel like it. I think the next one will be a few inches shorter and a few inches wider. Despite its' size there isn't that much boat in the water in the unloaded state.

A traditional paddle-grip is relieved under the cross piece for your fingers. The top of the cross piece has rounded edges and a straight profile.

Cape Mohican on the left can be a challenging spot to round. Opposing Currents meet
off the point and the shorelines of the approach on either side are cliffs facing the open Bering Sea.
There are sandy beaches and a sheltered bay on the southern coast where many families
have set up fishcamps for generations.
