Tim and Nung took us to see the area where they are building a country home 200 kilometers Northeast of Bangkok

We hired a van and took off from the city.  You drive a long time before you actually leave Bangkok.  Once out of the city we passed through some farming planes then up over a beautiful rainforest ridge into the valley where Tim and Nung are building.

There were farms in the area raising hundred of acres of orchids for export.

Their pond with recently transplanted trees.  The next day a highly unusual wind gust knocked some of these over.

Lake that our hotel overlooked.  Country western is big here with many log homes imported from the US and Canada.  They played Glen Campbell on the pool and dining room stereos, yippee!
