Ron Myers began private classical training at the age of six, and continued for the next eleven years. A forty-year professional career precluded music as a full time endeavor. Ron was afforded the opportunity to travel world-wide and was always able to find a piano to play. Dance band, radio shows, piano bars, weddings, variety shows, and special events have all contributed to his musical experience. Seven years ago, he started accompanying musical productions at the Orcas Center. Three years ago, Ron decided to devote his full time to music. He now teaches piano privately, works with island singers, and plays regularly at Rosario Resort. John Liger began singing at three. His mother, a very talented pianist; his dad, a professional singer. He discovered jazz at age 16 and began singing in vocal groups. He grew up enjoying the Hi-Lo's, the Four Freshmen, Stan Kenton, Dave Brubeck, George Shearing, and Paul Desmond. Excellent pitch, a three-octave range, talented coaches, excellent role models (Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Robert Goulet, Nat King Cole) influence his musical tastes and style. He began working with Ron Myers in 1995 while performing in Music Man. He continues to work with Ron and the vocal group Those Guys from Orcas. John has added "big band" experience and is currently performing at the piano as well. See Nice-n-Easy Music.
