Nitrox Diver

Purpose:
The primary objective of this course is to teach and prepare you for diving with Oxygen Enriched Air - Nitrox. Adding oxygen to the air mixture will reduce your risk of decompression sickness, but there is a trade-off. Because of the added risk of oxygen toxicity, you must learn how to calculate your depth limits with the different gas mixtures. Breathing Nitrox will allow you to stay underwater longer, but it will also require you to dive shallower.
